All of the songs were composed by Jim Johnston although a few themes were performed by other bands. Even though the first version of this album entitled "WWF" lists the songs by wrestler names, the rerelease entitle "WWE" has actual title listings.

The prevalent rumor at the time was that this was going to become his theme song as Steve Austin was planned to turn heel around the time of the album release, but the heel turn never happened and the song was only used for montages.
* At the end of "Know Your Role," if the volume is turned up very high, one can hear the Rock sing a verse of "Smackdown Hotel"
